Congratulations to MPHS Student of the Week, Grace Skelton! Grace was nominated by Mrs. Silbaugh, "Grace went above and beyond with a Renaissance artist presentation in Western Civilizations. Her presentation was strong in her speaking skills and showed a lot of effort and passion for the topic she learned. Grace is one of the students who is traveling to Italy this summer where she will get to see some of these works in person; I am happy she will get to experience some of these places she has taken the time to learn so much about!" Great work, Grace!
Congratulations to MPHS Student of the Week, Haydon Bailey! Haydon was nominated by Mrs. Meader, "Haydon is a great student leader in the speech and drama departments, and is highly respected by his peers in those departments. As student director for the spring play, he has given the production loads of imaginative vision, from designing the set, to acting multiple roles on stage, to leading warmups before most rehearsals. Haydon has also provided insight in all aspects of this play, and the wizarding world behind it. All while being an excellent student!" Great job, Haydon!
Congratulations to MPHS Student of the Week, Jesse Stultz! Jesse was nominated by Mrs. Puttmann, "Jesse (as well as many students) had a couple of crazy busy weeks with extracurricular activities, including state jazz band competition, band concert, music contest, and soccer games (and probably even more). Through it all he has continued to prioritize his academics. Jesse comes in before school and in Hawk Block to catch up on what he has missed. I'm so proud of his hard work. Jesse is also a kind and considerate classmate. Thanks for being a part of the Mid-Prairie family!" Great work, Jesse!
Mrs. Young was nominated for Staff Member of the Month because of the supportive and encouraging environment she has created in the art room. She challenges her students to take risks and explore their artistic abilities. As stated by a student, "I've learned a lot and am a better artist because of Mrs. Young."
